BBS & ST and D PROCESS IMPLEMENTATION INTRODUCTIONBBS (Behaviour Based Safety) and ST&D (Stop Think and Decide) – These processes are designed to accomplish and sustain optimal SHERQ performance. The important aspect is to integrate safety as part of all work activities (tasks). And the rationale is that the research showed that the same human factors that cause injuries and accidents also cause: Sub- quality products and customer complaints Relationship problems and poor productivityThe behaviour based safety and “stop,think and decide” are not intended to replace or supersede any measures that organisations have in place to manage SHERQ rather, they enhances and add a new dimension to existing initiatives.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist Project Leader with perception surveys and site assessments Perform Critical task observation in accordance with the schedule Perform Critical conditions observations in accordance with schedule Assist with the drafting of Critical task and critical behaviour checklist Conduct IMBOP training (making of the PACT and facilitate on the job application and entrenchment of critical behaviours) Coach employees to correction about the unsafe behaviour to coach fellow employees Perform team PACT compliance observations Ensure that supervisors reinforce their teams PACT agreements Ensure that supervisors let their teams perform behaviour modelling Ensure that supervisors remove negative barriers to safe Facilitate PACT reviews Assist the Project Leaders in whatever manner he/she requires with regards to the Behaviour Process Attend Safety and Progressive meetings to give feedback relating to critical task and critical conditions observed. Advise management about BIAP’s to increase safe behaviour performance Conduct BBS and Safety Induction to make employees aware about our process on the project.
