 Provide leadership in the development of strategic plans and budgets for all programs in CYPA Africa. Provide leadership to the Programme Team towards achieving the objectives of the organization’s strategy. Support the Executive Director and the Senior Management Team to lead the development of both strategic and operational plans. Ensure quality implementation of all projects of CYPA Africa. Develop, monitor, review and update the Programme department activity, and work plan to ensure that it attains its objectives as cost-effectively and efficiently as possible. Review and approve programme concepts, and partner financial requests as per organizational process and procedures Oversee administrative aspects of the program to meet the objectives of stakeholders Ensure close monitoring of the program works in the field to ensure alignment, monitor the flow of information and systemic documentation of quantitative and qualitative achievements in the field and lessons learned thereof. Ensure quality and timely submission of quarterly and annual or required Programme and Project Performance Reports as per desired standards and guidelines Led and managed the program team to achieve its mandated targets in accordance with annual operational plans. Ensure an empowering work environment and team building in compliance with CYPA Africa‘s values, principles and attitude and create an enabling environment for staff performance, recognition and reward of the program team to encourage staff productivity, innovation and performance (e.g. facilities, equipment, duty facilitation, team building etc)

The Future Africa Fellowship is a year-long learning experience that provides aspiring public sector leaders and social innovators with the knowledge, network and skills required to transform the African political economy. The Fellowship incorporates research, debate and rigorous analysis designed to empower Fellows to participate in developing implementable policy proposals for local, national and regional contexts.Fellows get familiar with contemporary debates on African socio-political and development issues, evaluate varying perspectives on policy approaches, engage in quality debate and develop critical reviews of existing policies and new proposals designed to address Africa’s development needs. A core element of the Fellowship is a quarterly Forum, bridging the gap between aspiring public sector leaders and current development practitioners.

As a member of the Imaginative Future working group (IFWG) representing Abia state in the South East region, my role is to identify, analyze, and integrate the perspectives of youth from my locality and state in line with the thematic areas at the regional level. The output documents will serve as tools for advocacy.Through the Imaginative Future working group, the NYFF seeks to support young people in Nigeria for outcome-driven policy engagements by mainstreaming their voices into the development of Nigeria’s short, medium and long term Agenda, and into the implementation of the African Union Agenda 2063, Africa-EU Partnership, AfCFTA and the UN SDGs. Also Developing and/or reviewing thematic policy papers that would positively influence the future of youth in Nigeria, and leverage findings from the policy papers in engaging and having dialogues with government institutions and officials.
