With over nine years of experience as an Asset Protection Officer at Ghana Ports & Harbours Authority (GPHA), I am passionate about safeguarding the physical and digital assets of one of the largest and busiest ports in Africa. I have a strong background in accounting and finance, with a Master of Science degree from the University of Ghana Business School, a Bachelor of Science degree from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA), and a Higher National Diploma (HND) from Ho Polytechnic, Ghana.I have developed a multifaceted skill set that includes conflict resolution, effective communication, attention to detail, technological proficiency, teamwork, keen observational skills, financial analysis, data integrity, administrative support, and customer service. I have also completed a Cybersecurity Essentials course from Educ8africa, and I am pursuing a Cybersecurity Certification Course from the International Information Systems Security Certification Consortium (ISC). I am adept at conducting thorough assessments, exercising sound judgment, and collaborating with diverse stakeholders. I am dedicated to leveraging my diverse expertise to drive organizational success and security excellence.My short-term goals for pursuing cybersecurity are to: gain foundational knowledge, develop practical skills, obtain relevant certifications; and secure an internship or entry-level position in an organization where I can put my skills to use. My long-term goals are to progress into more specialized & senior roles within the field, obtain advanced certifications, make significant contributions to the industry, and finally assume leadership positions within a cybersecurity organization.
