I was working as a Professional Social Worker having 12 years of experience in safeguarding the rights of children who are in need of care and protection and played the role of Coordinator in the nationwide project for children named CHILDLINE (A Project under the Ministry of Women and Child Development, Govt. Of India) in Kollam District , Kerala. Protection officer IC, under women and child dept. Govt of Kerala in Thrissur. As a Career highlights• Coordinating the district governmental and non govermental sytems for protection of the children in need of care and protection.• Over 5000 children who are in need of care and protection are given different assistance like shelter, restoration, protection from abuse, counseling and prevention of child marriage etc. within the Juvenile Justice System.• 895 critical interventions of child sexual abuse cases over the eleven years of experience in CHILDLINE, and 122 predators are punished by the court due to the active involvement of CHILDLINE in the cases. • 52 children are provided legal aid and victim compensation from DLSA through the constant advocacy with the stakeholders in Kollam. • Organized 15 CAB’s (Child Advisory Board) meetings with more than hundreds of circulars for the child friendly system in the district.• Organized more than 100 training programmes over eleven years of journey in CHILDLINE for the allied systems in Kollam, especially systems who are working with children in the area of child protection and laws pertaining to children etc.• Conducted 660 Awareness programmes for the children and adult over the eleven years of working in CHILDLINE.
