Being a Senior Manager my responsibilities includes managing books of accounts and ensuring readiness for internal, sharia, external and government audits, providing support for completion of internal and statutory audit or any other statutory requirements, preparing monthly, quarterly and year end reporting to Board, shareholders and the regulator, reviewing variance reports, prepare reports relating to revenue and expenditure trends, preparing forecasts for the year and budget for following year, monitoring budgets and ensure expenditure control, reviewing payments, managing accounts payable and accruals, verify authenticity, terms and approvals of all payables, monitor cash flow and cash management, reviewing invoices for revenue and other related documents, monitoring debtors and collections, verification of daily Trading & Settlement reports, and closely coordinating with the CSD on trade settlements, managing and ensuring smooth processing of various Corporate Action activities in the exchange, preparing VAT returns, reviewing and processing monthly payroll, monitoring and reviewing accounting and related system reports for accuracy and completeness, resolve accounting discrepancies, if any. As a Project Accountant, my core responsibilities involved administering and managing of books and project accounting for three Companies, preparing and monitoring Cash flow, closely monitoring and following up of receivables and payables, reconciliations of the various bank accounts and maintaining up-to-date statement and records of the various facilities provided by banks, Creditor/Debtor and inter company reconciliations, coordinating with different Business Units and ensuring smooth running of the various Business Processes, administering and coordinating the sales and purchase activities with the Logistics Dept. and ensuring timely deliveries, preparing Purchase Orders after negotiating the costs with the vendors and ensuring profit margins, preparing Letter of Credits as per the UCP 600 Norms, Monitoring Cash and Accounts Receivables, Invoicing and Payroll, participate in all budgeting and book closing exercises, preparing Profit & Loss A/C, Balance Sheet and related schedules, conducting Internal audit of books prior to annual audit for all 3 Companies and their Business Units, assisting Auditors, Experience in working on ERP Solutions (Microsoft Dynamics – Great Plains), Assisting consultants in Data Migration, reconciliation and verification of data after migration and ascertaining their accuracy, Signing off of the Projects.
