Founder of GOGREENLOCALLY.ORG. -501c3 nonprofit. GGL provides an online community sharing hubs of resources for locals taking on all types of people and planet-friendly action. At each of the 60 hubs individuals can share or add to six directories covering local events, businesses, groups, nonprofit initiatives, promotions, support, and online resources. All community events and promotions are shared to help the community stay abreast of everything going on locally. GGL promotes local groups, nonprofits, and businesses that locals can connect with, support, and join. Promotions are done through social media and local podcast show interviews.GoGreenLocally is more than a green directory. It's a vibrant community of like-minded people. We are working to combat hopelessness, apathy, and inaction by empowering people everywhere to take small steps leading to big change.We encourage stronger reliance on local natural food systems, services, and goods. We are motivated by the simple belief that when small communities form tighter circular economies, they grow stronger, healthier, and safer from the fluctuations and polluting of global economies. We have one national podcast:-"Locals Share Green Action" podcast that promotes and shares the how-to work of local residents across the US taking solution-based action https://www.gogreenlocally.org/podcastWe have multiple local podcasts available at each local hub sharing local groups, nonprofits, and businesses that are providing things that locals might want to support, join, or collaborate with.Our local business directory listings allow people to share green-certified and non-certified small sustainable locally-serving businesses. Green-certified businesses get a directory badge of honor, and notation of the name of the certifying agency/company, and a link to their certifying agency's directory so you can verify their status and what they had to do to achieve it. This helps to aggregate the great work that multiple agencies are doing to support businesses and give those businesses more exposure to people who can truly appreciate and support their work.   GOGREENLOCALLY ORG. (GGL) is a 501c3 nonprofit whose mission is promoting and disseminating information, resources, and support for local communities to take individual and collective action to care for the environment and each other. GoGreenLocally.org is also a website online app with free community sharing online hubs for US city and state regions. The hubs consist of directories to share events, projects, groups, businesses, and online resources. GGL is also providing a free service for locals to stay informed of ways to get involved by sending out monthly lists of local green events as well as virtual US events to encourage participation is the earth/nature and people care movement.One of core projects is a podcast show, "LOCALS SHARE GREEN ACTION". The purpose of the show is to inspire people to consider various careers, paid work, small businesses, nonprofits, or community volunteer work that is satisfying and makes a difference in local communities. A local podcast show, "Northern Nevada Green Living Podcast" show is in production to serve the Northern Nevada area community and is a test case for other cities to explore creating their own local green podcast shows to help inform locals.
