I managed the Electric Meter portfolio for the Quality organization from Product Concept through launch and ultimately Sustaining Engineering. I successfully mentored junior engineers, resolved customer escalations, and was the primary customer facing Engineer to support customer engagements.

Engineer responsible for design, characterization, qualification and evaluation of utility infrastructure components.

Engineer charged with improving efficiency and performance of existing designs, and developing new capabilities and design concepts, for mobile handsets.  As Electrical Designer and Technical Project Manager was accountable to deliver the technical solution to meet the product requirements. Drove the alignment and successful completion of the applicable Design phases in accordance with Sony Ericsson Corporate Procedures to ensure quality and schedule targets were met. Led schematic and board layout reviews for LED and keyboard operations. Managed factory test approval process. Created schematics, qualified cost improvement parts and second source parts, and implemented design changes.

Responsible for establishing and executing Regulatory and Compliance testing to meet Program schedules for on-time delivery of product to the customer. Responsible for review and feedback on the Product Specification to ensure all applicable Regulatory and Safety requirements were understood. Ensured requirements traceability throughout the test phase and captured as part of the detailed Product Test Plan. Managed approval processes for EMC, RF Conducted and Radiated Spurious Emissions projects on a global scale. Chaired weekly Program reviews through cross-functional teams from Development to System test. Utilized technical competency to diagnose failures, provide on-site testing support and assess design compliance.

Technician charged with evaluation and testing of mobile handset components.  Drafted testing glossaries, test effort estimations, performance questionnaires, findings reports, requirements traceability matrix and other testing documents.  Purchased Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) equipment for A2LA Certification. Achieved100% pass rate at External Type approval test houses for ESD immunity.

Competent engineer tasked with performing validation testing of mobile handset components.  Performed Battery Life and Current Consumption tests (Charging Algorithm)  Successfully delivered automation programs for Anritsu and Rhode & Schwarz test equipment to improve test coverage and exceed test-time delivery. I volunteered to assist Mechanical Engineer’s with mechanical verification testing (Drop, Tumble, Environmental, etc.)
