"Work hard, play hard" that is my motto for everything that I do. I believe that every success comes with hard work, but i also believe that we deserve a break once in a while to do the things we love.I am currently a student at Nanyang Polytechnic, pursuing a diploma in Sports And Wellness Management. By choosing this course, I wish to learn more about sports events management as well as how certain sports affect certain people. I was the vice-captain of my secondary school volleyball team. Through being the vice-captain of the team, I have learnt to manage volleyball events as well as my teammates and myself to be a better team. I also learnt how to work with my captain to provide the best experience to our teammates to make training more engaging and yet challenging. Although there were multiple setbacks through the 2 years, I gained great experiences that are useful to the future and working life. I have been working part-time since Secondary School till present as a banquet service staff at the hotel, Marriott Tang Plaza. I started as an agency staff for banquet services where I had to work for other hotels. I faced many troubles as I was working alone and I am introverted. Hence, I found it difficult to communicate with others. When I came across working at Marriott, everyone was extremely friendly which was what made me to decide to sign up at the hotel as a part-time staff. Since then, I have learnt how to communicate better with my colleagues as well as the guests. Not only that, I found many lifetime friendships at the hotel.In my Secondary School, Beatty Secondary School, I managed to achieve good results in my N Levels and received the Edusave Merit Bursary. Which was when I decided to enroll into Nanyang Polytechnic through the Polytechnic Foundation Program (PFP). Through the year of PFP, I was able to adjust myself to the Polytechnic timetables and projects which helped me greatly in Year 1. I also forged many friendships in that year.
