I am a pediatric intensivist in Chur, Switzerland. I finished my Pediatrics residency in and after working for as a Pediatrician in a state hospital; I started a research fellowship program in Pediatric Intensive Care. I participated in several clinical and laboratory research activities during my fellowship along with educational activities (e.g. PALS and NRP courses, manuscript writing, oral presentations, multi-disciplinary research protocols etc.). After I become a Pediatric Intensive Care Specialist, I deal with children particularly in need of mechanical ventilator support, extracorporeal membrane oxygenation and continuous renal replacement therapy in a 24-bed tertiary intensive care unit with approximately 1000 inpatients annually. I have been teaching several pediatric topics to medical school students for 3 years including diabetic ketoacidosis, sepsis, status epilepticus, advanced mechanical ventilation strategies, high flow nasal cannula and other non-invasive mechanical ventilation strategies. I am working as a Medical research manager focused on mechanical ventilation for the past five years. In this role, I have been responsible for overseeing and coordinating research projects, as well as ensuring compliance with relevant research regulations and guidelines including MDR. I have also contributed to the development of research protocols and played a key role in the dissemination of research findings through presentations and publications.
