Working from a high level on architecture and design of our payload and modem systems including system timing, phased arrays, networking, mode management, resiliency, and systems analysis down to low level PCB timing analysis and software to push bits.

Built and led embedded software teams responsible for flight computer, avionics subsystems, and payload platform systems for Kuiper satellites.

Created SDR product portfolio including L, S, X, and Ka bands supporting LEO and GEO missions and inter-satellite links with data rates from 2 Kbps to greater than 200 Mbps. Designed and executed qualification testing for LEO and GEO environments. Delivered over 50 radios to programs. Created business plan, designed radios, and developed FPGA and software. Kick started team for design and manufacture of antennas in-house.

Built and led an amazing team of software engineers building the next generation of space solutions: components, software defined radio, advanced GN&C solutions, full satellite solutions, and automated, cloud-based mission operations.

Led the Electrical team through design of next generation electronics. Defined processes and coordinated roadmaps for the team. Provided leadership and critical issue resolution.

Developed custom secure communications and cyber security solutions for mobile devices. Led the strategic technical vision, new business pursuits, and R&D efforts for the team. Focus areas included RF signal processing, cellular stacks, machine learning of RF signals, cognitive radio, mobile adhoc networking, and cyber security.

Led a multi discipline team through successful CDR for design of a space based, real-time image processing system for optical navigation.

Technical lead for various customer research and development projects developing secure communications and cyber security solutions for mobile devices. Development in all layers of GSM, UMTS, and LTE stacks.

Member of the flight software team for NASA's Deep Impact program where I focused on many areas including science imaging and performance and Attitude Determination and Control (ADC). Member of the operations team.Following Deep Impact, I worked on NASA's Kepler program where I focused on fault protection, mode management, and ADC. Developed a performance focused flash file system used on multiple programs including Kepler. Member of the operations team for launch and initial check out.

Worked on various features as a member of the Celluar Infrastructure Group including UMTS RNC signal layer, ATM protocol development, high availability platform services, and common base station platform.
