Andy Golding has over 30 years’ experience in the education, sport and business sectors as a lecturer, director, CEO, principal and consultant, providing services to a wide range of individuals and organisations. As a global educator, Andy has contributed to the authoring of over 600, published online under graduate and post graduate modules, which are used by best in class universities and learners in 150 countries world wide. As a former rugby union player, Andy represented Middlesex at all age groups, and London Division at u18 level, Ealing Rugby Club 1st XV, Borough Road Rugby Club 1st XV, Middlesex u21, London Welsh 7s and Maidstone 1st XV in the National League, pre professional era. After retiring early in his playing career due to injury Andy has been Head Coach, Director of Rugby and Chair/CEO at a semi-professional rugby club responsible for providing strategic direction for success both on and off the field.As a leading academic, Andy is an undergraduate and postgraduate lecturer in sports business, sports law, governance and global sports leadership at the University Campus of Football Business (UCFB) situated at the iconic Wembley Stadium. He is a considered expert, thought leader and published PhD researcher, writing with renowned sports finance experts to provide much needed research on the business sustainability of professional rugby union in England and specifically the Rugby Premiership. Andy provides sports and business consultancy to a range of organisations and as an all-sports enthusiast, is Trustee of the Kent Cricket Youth Trust, which provides grants to support the development of boys and girls cricket, and Non-Executive Director (NED) of FC Inter London, the UK’s largest Ukrainian football organisation, helping children and families displaced by the war in Ukraine integrate into UK society through sport.
