Camp Kadimah is a non-profit overnight summer camp for children, based out of Barss Corner, Nova Scotia. Each summer over 230+ campers and 100 staff spend 6-weeks in a fun and safe environment. During the “off-season” (in Toronto) there is a tremendous amount of work that goes into creating a perfect summer and managing a $1+ million budget. As the Director, and the sole full time employee, I wore many hats, ranging from: strategy, finance, operations, marketing, HR, board governance and fundraising. During my reign, I leveraged my dual-degree (MBA in Non-profit Management and MA in Leadership), to add a level of professionalism and modernism to an organization that had outgrown both its existing strategy and operations. A few career highlights and major accomplishments include;- Redesigned the core camping program and structure to meet the evolving demands, decreasing the barriers to entry and maximizing the lifetime value of newly recruited campers. Over my four years as director, I grew enrollment by 20% and realized a retention rate of 90% (industry average 75%). - Exceptional customer service was core to my role as director during the year as well as during the camp season. Instilling comfort in parents and happiness in their children. For each camping season, I hired and managed 100 staff members to; ensure the safety and well-being of the campers, direct activities and specialty areas, prepare 1000 meals a day in full service kitchen. - Implemented a web-based camp focused CRM system called ‘CampMinder’ which increased our efficiency as it related to sales, communication and payment processes, as well as assisting with many day-to-day operations during the camping season. - Fundraising and alumni engagement. This included a 500-person anniversary gala, as well as a launch of an annual campaign to help facilitate recurring donations (this raised over $100K). - Restructured the Board of Directors of the Camp to ensure sustainability in leadership

Worked directly with experienced Director and core leadership team to assist in all operations of running a premiere overnight camp.

Co-founded and managed Goldsky Sports Inc., which established the Halifax Inline Hockey League (HIHL) - an official recreational hockey league. Over four years HIHL grew from 6 teams to 14 teams and was eventually sold in 2007.
