Digital banking is democratizing the way in which the world does business.With 2 billion unbanked or underbanked individuals globally, advances in technology and digital adoption are expediting meaningful trends in the retail and commercial banking industries. As the globe becomes increasingly connected, so too have consumers’ demands when it comes to digital banking. Banking customers want to see both fee suppression and an expansion of digital capabilities (i.e. we want more, for less!) - putting pressure on financial institutions to operate on slimmer margins while competing in a crowded FinTech marketplace.These factors have driven widespread adoption of digital banking across the globe. By leveraging recent technological advancements and consumer trends, banks have opened a world of possibilities for the unbanked and underbanked. Access to cheap credit to grow a business, the ability to save for a child’s education, the opportunity to plan for and meet financial milestones - all one needs is a smartphone and an internet connection.To me, digital banking is more than just seamless design and a convenience I often take for granted. Advances in this industry facilitate global change one user at a time. I'm excited to deliver the banking products that make this change a reality!
