During his more than 20-year career, Steve Gold led teams responsible for developing and implementing technology solutions at some of the industry’s most recognized companies, including Wyse Technology, Dell, VMWare and Varonis. His expertise includes Cloud Computing, Channel Development, Territory Management, and Government Sales. Today, Steve Gold is the Cybersecurity Practice Director at Gotham Technology Group In this role, Steve acts as a trusted advisor to Gotham's current and future customers helping them to navigate the complexities of security. This typically starts with helping to identify the gaps and overlaps in their security program. Most companies will typically have multiple products performing the same functions such as Software and Asset Management. By understanding where solutions overlap, money can be reclaimed and used to fill other gaps.Prior to joining Gotham Steve was the Vice President of Sales at the Center for Internet Security, Inc. (CIS). CIS is a self funded 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and home to the CIS Benchmarks, CIS Controls, Multi State Information Sharing & Analysis Center (MS-ISAC), and Elections Infrastructure Information Sharing & Analysis Center (EI-ISAC). Steve worked with Carahsoft to provide a simplified procurement model of all of CIS's products and services . Steve grew the revenue from 15 Million to 83 Million in less than 5 years helping to fund additional no cost and low cost cybersecurity products and services.Prior to CIS Steve managed a team of State, Local & Education (SLED) focused individuals in the Northeast to protect the data of those public entities. During his 3.5 years, Steve established the company’s State, Local, and Education (SLED) business, setup statewide procurement contracts with NY, NJ, NASPO, PEPPM and many others. Steve is a graduate of SUNY Farmingdale with a degree in Aerospace Engineering. He resides in Baltimore, MD and is home office based.
