My high school only offered one course pertaining to digital media, so the majority of my multimedia knowledge was self-taught. I knew this was a passion of mine and so I continued with it at the College of New Caledonia, the only school in Northern BC to offer such a program. I finished New Media, Communications & Design with Honours, and continued to pursue more knowledge. In order to prepare myself for the business world, I would need the knowledge to run and marketing my design firm. After two more years, I received a diploma in Marketing & Business Management. During this time at college, I was freelancing my skills to pay for school. I made numerous blog sites, posters and newsletter designs. I couldn't take on any large projects until school was finished. In 2009 I applied at Integris Credit Union to be a Web Assistant. My career at Integris has quickly climbed its way to Senior Designer, Web/Graphics, and I have contributed to Integris winning three marketing awards.
