(Exit) I founded Soil Mate Soil Mate in 2013, launched in 2014 and grew the business until its sale in November 2020. I now serve as an advisor to the new ownership team.Soil Mate is a multi award winning system allows consumers across North America to find out who grows, raises or produces what within a 100 miles of their location. They can see what products are available, how they are produced, when they are available and where and how they can buy them.Soil Mate has over 18,000 businesses listed, operating in every state and province in the US and Canada. Farms, farmers markets, locally sourced stores and restaurants, as well as wineries, breweries and other craft beverage makers can be found through Soil Mate.

Mazu is a leader in COPPA compliant apps, allowing children to safely interact online whilst involving parents in their children's digital experience. As COO, I oversaw a restructuring and reorganizing of the executive and operational teams to better aid the company as it launched its innovative messenger platform to a general audience. Creating value props, business models, and providing technical, operational and marketing guidance, I led the app to a record number of downloads along with growing the team, people, and company culture. Aside from the Mazu Messenger, Mazu also operates the children’s apps for many of the world’s largest sports teams such as the LA Lakers, Toronto Maple Leafs, and Chicago Blackhawks.

The Advisory Board acts as a conduit of community and business information; this information provides staff the ability to identify tactics, activities and partnerships in order to facilitate a healthy, dynamic and sustainable community economy.
