Where I am responsible for leading and coordinating the resources within the department with the main focus on the introduction of new programs, engineering changes, acquisition of equipment and manufacturing lines, validation of new processes and raw materials, as well as ensuring the follow-up of internal and external procedures such as IATF, VDA, ISO, APQP, etc., coordinate and execute the implementation of continuous improvement projects, analysis and development of global standardization strategies for manufacturing processes and product design improvements and the developing and evaluation of the engineers within the department measuring internal and external KPI's of the department and plant.Program launching• Participate in the initial phases of each launch during to identify and define the proper manufacturing process, related machines needed, and CAPEX required.• Lead and ensure the development and introduction of new programs of the processes, applying lean manufacturing techniques, lessons learned and best practices.• Monitor the validation of new or transferred equipment, detect and resolve resulting operational problems.• Ensure that engineers comply with the applicable steps of the APQP process, norms, and regulations according to internal and external procedures.• Ensure that the PPAP'S, trial runs, engineering changes, are executed based on dates and responsibilities marked in APQP, review results and take necessary corrective actions, in addition to managing resources (manpower, equipment, tooling) for the runs required.• Inform on a weekly/monthly basis the KPI’s of the department with internal and external management.Continuous improvement• Coordinate the development and implementation of continuous improvement projects with main focus on reduce wastes, productivity incensement, labor reduction and material optimization.• Create new process and product improvements and standards to share lessons learned with global teams.

As a process engineer, I am responsible of developing and introduce new launches for NA OEM’s such as Stellantis, Ford, GM, Tesla and European/Asian EOM’s VW, BMW, Audi, Subaru, Honda automotive platforms, ensuring the manufacturability and quality of the product according to internal and external requirements to satisfy customer needs, review and resolve daily issues on production floor regarding process and product design.• Weekly meetings with program managers and external cross functional team where we discuss ongoing programs and launches to come.• Review and approval of product design, bill of material, material usage, sewing files and specifications of the new launches with design team to fulfill requirements and satisfy customer needs.• Validation of new combinations between materials or new processes using statistical methodologies to ensure the feasibility and capability of the process.• Introduction and validation of new equipment.• Define right process for new launches, implementing process controls and poke yoke systems to prevent QC issues.• Review routings and equipment capacity with manufacturing engineering team for launches.• Quotation and purchase of tooling and equipment needed for new launches.• Coordinate and execute pilot run of the new programs with internal cross functional team.• PFMEA and PFD owner for ongoing programs and new launches.• Review and upload package proposal for OEM’s.• Deliver released programs, tooling and equipment to the manufacturing engineering team.Engineering• Daily meetings with cross functional internal team to review process and productions complains.• Review and resolve production issues and customer complaints with cross functional internal team.• Engineering change requests due to internal or external requirement.• Develop kaizen and cost reduction projects as individual metric.• PFMEA and PFD internal review with QC team.
