Recruited as Controller, tasked to turn around a stagnating company losing $500m on $4.0mm in sales per year.Responsible for Operations and Finance functions, including Financial Analysis & Reporting, Product Costing and Pricing, Investor & Board Relations, Customer Service, Strategic Planning, M&A Analysis, IT, HR, Purchasing, and Regulatory Reporting for a $22mm, privately held, medical and specialty-use vehicle manufacturer.Specific Accomplishments: Led changes in finance, operations, purchasing, and sales which reversed the annual operating profit loss trend, resulting in 2002 profits of $1,185m on $15.8mm in sales, $1,776 on $22.1mm in sales in 2003, and projected $3,102 on $34.3mm in sales in 2004.Completed a "reverse IPO", taking the company private after a prior unsuccessful IPO. Negotiated final settlements on claims with the bankruptcy trustee for Dublin Securities and more than 3,000 small shareholders for less than 20% of amount sought. Act as primary interface between Investors, Board Members, and Management.Negotiated the first line of credit in the company's history in April 2000.Negotiated the purchase and financing of a $2.2mm, 100,000-sq. ft. manufacturing facility through an Industrial Development Revenue Bond issue, as well as a combined Line of Credit of $1.25mm with Bank One

Reduced Workers' Compensation costs by 20% through aggressive management of the process and a monthly review process involving all senior managers.

Responsible for all Finance, MIS HR, Safety & Environmental, OSHA & IDEM issues for a $310mm truck-trailer manufacturer. Leader of the MAPICS XA ERP Implementation Team Specific Accomplishments: Negotiated reduction of $2mm in OSHA fines to $800m in remedial improvements. Saved $150m per year through Sec. 29 Alternative Energy Tax Credit. Renegotiated Bank Line Interest by 1%, tied to financial performance. Reduced loan balance by 20% ($6,000,000) through aggressive cash management. Attacked workers' compensation, absenteeism, & unemployment claims, achieving a total savings of $1.5mm.

Manage and direct the Finance, HR, Purchasing, and MIS functions of a $24mm packaging company. Member of the Executive, Strategic Planning and Plant Consolidation teams responsible for consolidating two plants into one facility.Reduced inventories, scrap, overhead, direct labor, and waste by working with engineering to restructure Bills Of Material & Routings (Annual Savings: $78m). Established and maintained procedures, STD cost files, and physical inventory for all distribution centers and retail locations of a $300mm Retail & Distribution Co. Helped redesign Champion Products Closeout Operations, increasing order fill rate from 52% to 98.4%, reducing past due accounts from 47% to 2%, and reducing Physical Inventory Variance to less than 1%.
