About Kristy Gonyer

I am a program coordinator with a background in post-secondary education, and more than 13 years of broad experience in program and event management as well as experience teaching and coordinating science, environmental, garden, experiential, and community-based programs. I am inspired by the power of education (in both formal and informal settings) to affect positive change in individuals' lives and in the broader community. I thrive in diverse educational and non-profit settings, and I am particularly motivated by the multiplicative effects of supporting the next generation of community leaders and change agents. By day, I currently work as an Administrative Coordinator at Reed College, where I work with faculty and students in the Biology, Environmental Studies, and Neuroscience programs to manage academic events, support academic coursework, and to promote student engagement and success. By night (and weekend), I devote my time to working on various community, sustainability & environmental issues.
