Project Manager / Engineer
CurrentAs a project manager, I work closely with different clients, project engineers and senior designers to ensure that projects adhere and follow the appropriate design standards, always striving for the most cost/effective design whenever possible. Prepare and develop proposals, budgets and schedules, assuring the thorough completion of the scope of work. Participate in public meetings and interview teams to successfully represent our company. Prepare different types of construction drawings, such as grading plans, storm drain, water, reclaimed, sanitary sewer, and stripping plans. Analyze and prepare drainage reports for proposed roadway improvements and site developments. Analyze different earthwork scenarios to achieve the maximum optimization for residential / commercial developments, and for roadway improvements. Designed the first phase of Eastmark, DU7 South, a DMB subdivision with 740 lots on 220 acres, located at the old GM proving grounds. As the lead Autodesk Civil3D Engineer, I’ve provided several in-house training classes, and helped customize templates to match the company standards, resulting in an increase in efficiency and productivity. Designed and coordinated the realignment of Old Tower Rd next to the Sky Harbor Airport, a project that needed to comply with FAA regulations. Additionally, part of my duties have been to coordinate with other agencies such as MCESD, FCDMC, ADEQ to obtain special permits prior to construction. Review and prepare cost estimates and specifications for our construction drawings. Coordinate with several sub-consultants such as the electrical, landscape architect, irrigation, structural and geotechnical consultants during the design phase. Communication has been a key component to providing a successful outcome in our projects, which includes continued coordination with the stakeholders. Additionally, I have had the opportunity to be a construction inspector and attend pre-design, pre-construction and construction meetings.
