Information includes the patient's medical history, current symptoms, and vital signs, among other relevant parameters. In addition, I perform various point-of-care tests such as urinalysis, urine micros, rapid strep, and rapid COVID/Flu, among others. Moreover, I am responsible for administering vaccines and therapeutic injections, applying glucose sensors and heart monitors, conducting electrocardiograms (EKGs) and X-rays, screening for diabetic retinopathy, performing venipuncture, ear irrigation, spirometry, and administering nebulizer treatments.My primary objective is to work collaboratively with the providers to ensure a comfortable and stress-free patient experience. I also use my bilingual skills to assist Spanish-speaking patients so that they better understand their healthcare. I thoroughly explain any tests or procedures and always come equipped with a positive attitude and a "masked" smile to provide the best care possible.

Standardized Patients are individuals hired to portray patients in order to assist students in developing interpersonal skills. They play a critical role in reminding students to treat each patient with the whole-person approach. Standardized Patients (SPs) have become an essential part of Campbell Med’s curriculum.I use my experience as a medical assistant to effectively portray patient cases to students. This role challenges me to deeply consider my patient interactions and approach them with a holistic mindset. By increasing my self-awareness, I can give students feedback on how they treated me during the encounter. I strongly believe in treating patients as individuals, not just as a collection of symptoms. As a standardized patient, my goal is to help students improve their ability to connect with their patients on a personal level.
