With more than 20 years of experience in acquisitions, Gonzalo has advised dozens of entrepreneurs, financial buyers and corporate clients with the negotiations for the sale or purchase of privately owned companies. Corporate clients include manufacturers, distributors, service companies, high-tech, SaaS and professional organizations, in diverse industries such as marketing, food, construction, entertainment, hospitality, health and cosmetics. His expertise encompasses all the stages to successfully complete the acquisitions including deal origination, valuation, financial modeling, negotiations, due diligence coordination and support in the legal phase prior to closing.Prior to his M&A career, Gonzalo experienced the sale, purchase and merger of his own companies as an entrepreneur, where he acquired the ability to understand the challenges faced by both buyers and sellers from their own perspectives. This has proven to be an invaluable tool for managing expectations and facilitating smooth and successful transactions. With his down-to-earth style, Gonzalo combines his financial expertise, negotiation skills and ability to foresee obstacles and find solutions to tackle the many pitfalls typical to most acquisitions. Gonzalo earned an MBA from McGill University, as well as M&AMI (Mergers & Acquisitions Master Intermediary) and CBI (Certified Business Intermediary) accreditations from The M&A Source and the International Business Brokers Association (IBBA) respectively. He is also a student of the CBV Institute where he is following the program to obtain a CBV designation.
