I started contributing to Sugar Labs creating activities, the most popular was FotoToon. Later I was more involved with Sugar core development, implementing complete features, like Global Text to Speech, the multiple selection in the Journal, Backup/Restore, and fixes to the desktop and toolkit libraries. I also provided os images to test the latest versions of Sugar in the XO laptops. I served as member of SugarLabs Oversight Board from 2012 to 2015.

As a member of the Sugar Development team, worked to improve the software in use by 50.000 kids and teachers. Created new applications, polished and re-implemented other features needed locally to be included in the upstream repositories. When the project decided switch to Android, developed a activity that can run in both environments, using JS/HTML5 and Cordova.

Coordinate Sugar Activities development.My main responsibility was improve the activities (applications) distributed with the XO laptops, in use by more than 3 million kids in more than 40 countres. I maintained a big number of activities and contributed to activities maintained by other developers. A complete list of activities I maintain can be see in my GitHub repository.

Design and development of software for tourism companies. In the first years we developed a complete solution for tourism agencies administration using Delphi and relational databases running in Windows desktops. Later leaded the development of a new version running as a webapp, using Java running in Linux servers. Now is pretty obvious, but at the time was a innovative solution for a application so complex.

Worked as consultant at different projects as a Community site to Personal, and the Diario Oficial de la Federación (DOF) México.
