Institute for Economic Democracy is laying the groundwork for economic democracy in Slovenia and, by doing so, building more inclusive economy and sustainable society. Through policy proposals, business consultancy, and research of good practices, our mission is to further economic democracy as the economic model for the future.

Typical topics that members work on include employee ownership, cooperatives, labor-management decision-making, co-determination, profit-sharing, non-profit organizations, and economic democracy.

The Beyster fellowships are awarded to outstanding Ph.D. candidates or postdoctoral scholars in the areas of economics, history, management, business and labor relations, law, philosophy, psychology, political science, public policy, and sociology studying employee ownership and related ideas such as profit sharing and broad-based stock options in the corporation and society in the United States. The fellowships permit the students to associate with several scholars engaged in this area of research at Rutgers and receive mentoring and support.

In collaboration with prof. Marko Jaklič, we have drafted the curriculum for a new master program in heterodox economics at FELU. I was responsible for theoretical and methodological organization of the curriculum, and for the paper work neccessary for the accreditation process at the University level.
