Led the front-end development of an AI-assisted course builder, empowering authors to create custom courses at scale, by curating reusable content from Coursera’s extensive catalog. Developed a WYSIWYG rich text editor, significantly enhancing the writing experience for authors. Lead contributor on an Agile team building responsive, adaptive and accessible UI components using modern web technologies (Vue.js, Flexbox, Resize and Intersection Observers, and CSS modules). My day to day involves working with a talented team of graphic designers to build rapid prototypes and core UI components (dialogs, carousel, toolbar, virtual lists, etc...) for FactSet's new "Fusion" initiative. I'm widely viewed throughout the company as a subject matter expert on responsive web design and provide thought-leadership and guidance to teams building responsive web apps.

Pioneered FactSet’s first-of-a-kind responsive web app (in Vue.js) as part of a new “Fusion” initiative. Developed Advisor Dashboard from the ground up; an award winning app that gives wealth advisors a high level overview of their entire book of business while surfacing actionable insights. Simultaneously developed a custom version of the app, which was later deployed to over 15,000 advisors at one of the top 5 wealth firms globally.

I was a member of the Wealth Application Team where I led development on two of FactSet’s most widely used web apps utilizing AngularJS. I later migrated the apps to Vue.js helping to close a performance gap that contributed to the largest deal in FactSet’s history with Bank of America (worth over $20m). I developed "Portfolio View" from the ground up, a web version of FactSet's Desktop application which provides Portfolio Managers with grid and chart visualizations for their account holdings. I also developed "Market Watch" designed to view real time data for a watchlist of tickers (over 15,000 users). I was appointed to the Web Guidance Committee to represent my organization where I was responsible for standardizing web technologies and best practices at FactSet.

Lead developer in Application Infrastructure. I was responsible for integrating Chromium into FactSet’s Desktop Workstation utilizing the open source library Chromium Embedded Framework (CEF) written in C++. My biggest accomplishment was updating from a legacy, single-process browser to the latest multi-process version of Chromium. I refactored the Workstation’s Javascript API to be async by utilizing JavaScript promises, Chromium’s Inter-Process Communication protocol and boost shared memory. I also contributed CEF changes back upstream, to allow failed resource responses to be intercepted and seamlessly retried or redirected.

Lead engineer on the mobile team where I implemented backend services in C++ to provide market data, portfolio analytics, news and notifications. I was responsible for redesigning FactSet’s mobile services architecture to be RESTful. I refactored single-user, monolithic services into multi-user, micro services. And also executed a seamless backend platform migration from OpenVMS to Linux.
