As a Power Eletronics Engineer, I am responsible for the design and sizing of integrated electrical circuit modules during the entire life cycle of the project.Main activities:- Sizing and design of power and mixed signal electronic circuits for satellite launcher at the transistor level;- Define module and interface specifications;- Evaluate and select electronic components;- Elaborate thermal analysis and power budgets of electronic boards;- Elaborate Worst Case Analysis (WCA), Part Stress Analysis (PSA), Failure Mode, Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA), and Fault Tree Analysis (FTA);- Write descriptive and justification documents; - Design a printed circuit board (PCB) and manage its electromagnetic compatibility (EMC);- Perform electrical measurements in DC/DC converter boards;- Perform root cause analysis of DC/DC converter faults and write respective investigation documents;- Perform radiation analysis of MOSFETs used in DC/DC converters;- Statistical analysis of hybrid DC/DC converters test reports after production;- Work in a multi-linguistic corporate environment.Projects:- Ariane 6 Safeguard system, Neutralization Firing Unit (NFU);- Post production engineering support of hybrid DC/DC converters for aerospace applications.

E-redes (former EDP Distribuição)Coordination and operation of Medium Voltage (6 kV to 30 kV) electric grid:- Managing teams on detecting and repairing electrical faults;- Risk analysis and planning of maintenance tasks on the electrical power grid.Development of the following projects:- Conceptualization and implementation of a process to deal with permanent SCADA alarms.- Participation in continuous improvement projects, such as the redefinition of contingency plans and the Operational Plan of Action in Moments of Crisis;- Data Analytics related to Asset Management, KPI, decision support tools, pattern seeking;- Programming of a Business Intelligence Report that analyses recurrently past occurrences in the electrical grid and display via dashboards meaningful KPI for assisting top level technical management;- Development and definition of specifications of a novel off-grid (Islanding) outage backup solution for medium voltage (30/15/10/6 kV) electrical distribution grids, using small power generator connected to switch-gear with a digital protection system;- Configuration and management of a national automation system for extinguishing momentary and semi-permanent faults in the electrical grid;- Quality Assurance Testing of dispatch software applications: such as SCADA system, outrage management system and automatic fault detection system;- Technician training for the Power grid SCADA system;- Execution and improvement of Business Continuity Plan, and participation in the ISO 22301 Certification process.
