Throughout my life, I have always been very interested in working on something that pushes me to learn new and exciting subjects, this has always allowed me to develop and enhance my problem-solving skills. As I like working in challenging environments, I found that working with a team has always been something that interested me, this allied with my interest in embedded systems and optimization-oriented projects translated into an immense passion for motorsport and performance-oriented fields, such as embedded systems development and machine learning.To test my abilities, I have entered with a team in startup-like competitions, where you have around 24 to 48 hours to develop a prototype from scratch. Of notice, we entered Tecstorm in 2017, where we developed a mine detecting off-road drone, and Lisbon Green Hackathon in 2017, where we developed a lifting body to map and patrol forests and at-risk zones, scouting for fires and fire hazard zones. The lifting body was able to sustain itself through a motor and stabilization control on the flaps. My biggest endeavor so far has been my participation in the Formula Student Project, where I still keep Alumni status, giving feedback to new members and the team in general. This has been best described as, “An educational engineering challenge that is popular because the engineering product to be designed, built, tested, and evaluated against other universities from around the world. It happens to be a race car.” - Neil Anderson Here, I was able to develop my engineering skills and work directly on a Motorsport project, while developing my interpersonal skills and getting a front-row seat into how businesses and companies are managed to succeed and last. During my time in the team, I have been responsible for the management and supervision of various groups while designing, manufacturing, and assembling components on my own, which have been fitted and used during FS competitions.I have a particular interest in the areas of Software Engineering, Embedded, systems and Control Systems.
