I help companies manage disruptive change by training leaders to communicate more effectively. When organizations transform, leaders at every level need to speak with a consistent, credible voice to all constituencies. I help executives and managers build core communications skills around change, align messages across disparate groups, and co-create new narratives for their transformed organizations. The results are tangible; more than 95% of the leaders I've trained believe their communications have improved as a result. To complement and amplify the leadership training, I work directly with Communications and Human Resources teams to plan and activate communications strategies for a range of change scenarios, from revamping business models to integrating acquisitions to implementing new technologies. I have more than 25 years of corporate and consulting experience helping organizations manage change. As VP of Communications at Thomson Reuters, I headed up communications for several multi-billion-dollar businesses and functions. I led global internal change communications programs for multiple acquisitions and divestitures, outsourcing deals and corporate restructurings, including the award-winning communications to support Thomson’s $17 billion acquisition of Reuters. Before Thomson Reuters, I was director of IBM’s corporate intranet, headed employee communications at McGraw-Hill, co-led the intranet practice at web agency Xceed, and worked in public relations for Golin-Harris and Makovsky & Company, where my clients included IBM, MasterCard, Sprint and Toshiba. I was also Visiting Professor at Newcastle University Business School in the UK.
