I'm a data scientist and project consultant working on issues surrounding climate change. Over my 3 years at FloodBase, I've trained government officials in geospatial tech, delivered flood data to disaster responders and hydro modelers in more than 15 countries, advised on ongoing machine-learning improvements, and developed parametric structures for our flagship insurance deployment.Through my current role at ICF working with electric utilities, I'm supporting NY-state-mandated efficiency programs and beginning my professional journey into energy topics. I'm excited to learn more about DERs, transmission, and energy governance, and to apply my data practice in those realms. Before Floodbase, I studied Sustainable Development at Columbia University and contributed to forestry modeling at Project Drawdown as an undergraduate researcher. Before Columbia, I practiced green trades through EarthShip Biotechture and Yestermorrow Design-Build School. I'm a natural teacher and communicator, skills which I developed in my time as a Math/Science educator and wilderness trip leader. I'm always looking for new ways to apply myself to combatting the climate crisis, and connections I can make to support the larger movement. If you're in the NYC area check out climatecafe.eco, a climate community group where I'm a founding volunteer. Please feel welcome to reach out!
