I began my career by growing up in an Air Force family and traveling the world. My grown up career started with Piedmont Airlines in 1976. I am a passionate aviation and technology advocate with over four decades of experience in developing and commercializing innovative C4 systems for government and industry. As the founder and CEO of Systemoperations.com LLC and WxOps Inc., I have leveraged my credentials throughout my career as a licensed FAA aircraft dispatcher and a former dispatch director/manager at several major airlines to create solutions that improve safety, efficiency, and performance in the aviation sector.My current research and work interests include using advanced geospatial software, big data, and secure data tunnels to enhance the coordination and exchange of information among airline flight operations, dispatch, air traffic control, and other stakeholders. I also focus on the human factors and task saturation aspects of using electronic flight bags and other devices in the cockpit. In addition, I have contributed to several projects with NASA, NOAA, and other agencies on turbulence modeling, weather data integration, and next-generation aviation systems. I hold several US Patents and have received several Nasa SBIR grants during my career in avation. My primary goal is to use my experience to now "give back" to aviation by looking forward.
