Job Responsibility Phlebotomist .Collect samples from patients (Blood samples) using vacutainer, syringe and perform capillary puncture.​ Performed different laboratory works and to handle machines effectively in each department or section. More so, as a Medical Technologist, I can perform independently all laboratory works inherited procedures under it, and to release clinical test which helps a physician in conformity and support in establishing his/her diagnosis to patients’ care. To receive different human samples and carry their distribution. To prepare the samples for analysis, to store and transport them using appropriate preservation methods. To calibrate and perform routine maintenance of equipment and inform the In-charge about any defect once it occurs.​ To perform daily quality control and the requested analyses according to the laboratory policy and prepare culture media, chemicals, reagents, solutions, slides for microscopic analysis as required. To maintain daily entry of the specimens, their results and daily statistics in computer or register. Recognize abnormal or unusual test results and follow instruction procedures for reporting critical values. Assists Pathologist in issuing medical reports with proper documentation. Maintain patient confidentiality.

Transfusion medicine and Clinical MicrobiologyEnsuring requests are processed according to procedure and deadline.-Performing all routine blood bank functions-check forms to ensure technnical and billing accuracy e.g crossmatch,plasma products and postnatals forms-record,monitor and take action relating to service deadlines missed and customer complaints-Ensuring that Good Laboratory Practice is maintained-Ensuring Quality and Safety requirements are met-Ensuring accreditation requirements are met-Ensuring proficiency and QC testing requirements are completed in time-Monitor blood and blood products stock levels and take action to minimize shortage and wastage-Submit regular reports to the Head of Blood Banks and providing reasons for variences and suggestions for improvement.
