Ekalavyas is India's first and only basketball media company, active both in the B2B & B2C space, and has worked with over 20 international and national clients including NBA team Sacramento Kings, NBA India, Basketball Federation of India, 3x3 Pro Basketball League '3BL', Decathlon Sports India, UBA Pro Basketball League, IMG-Reliance etc.In the original content creation space, Ekalavyas is synonymous with Indian basketball, operating popular digital media platforms. Ekalavyas initially came into prominence after breaking the news of the Indian men's basketball team's historic victory over China at the 2014 FIBA Asia Cup - (the unexpected high traffic led to the site crashing!). This was followed by numerous other eye-opening stories, including that of RT Viswanath, the only Indian to score 100+ points in a single game, and documenting Kiloi, India's 'basketball village'.As a pioneering alternate sports content company, Ekalavyas has many firsts to its credit such as being India's first and only full-fledged basketball website (www.ekalavyas.com), introducing live play by play commentary for basketball & signature social media campaigns (like #StreeGotGame, #BrownMenCanJump, #CourtsofIndia, #EkNumber etc) and starting Indian basketball's first YouTube channel (with 1 million plus views that has original content ranging from player mixtapes with copyright compliant background music, game highlights with audio commentary, product reviews, interviews and podcasts).In its initial years, Ekalavyas was also active on the PR front, and in July 2017, achieved a key milestone when its young team was roped in by the Basketball Federation of India to provide media, content & PR support during the FIBA Women's Asia Cup in Bengaluru. I was fortunate enough to be the LOC's official Media Coordinator (including Ops) for the event.

Contributor to leading print and online publications like NBA.com (India), Hindu Business Line, Scroll, FIBA.com, Sports Illustrated India, Fountain Ink Magazine, The Caravan, Newsclick.in, Red Bull India, The Bridge, Sportskeeda.com, Nation of Sport etc.My Fountain Ink piece ('Hoops of Hope') is arguably the first time ever that a mainstream Indian magazine has featured basketball as its cover story.Was the lead solo researcher for NBA's first coffee table book on Indian basketball, titled 'Home Court', which was released via private circulation in the lead up to the 2019 NBA India Games.As an academic & policy researcher, I have published country reports on diverse topics such as Sexual Rights & The Internet, India's mobile healthcare advances and India's internet governance forum initiatives.I also create & curate non-sports content under my alter-ego 'Jiyopal'

Starting off as a unit under Ekalavyas, Pursuit went on to become India's first independent basketball talent management company that at one point represented virtually all of India's leading international male stars including Amjyot Singh (NBA G League) and Amritpal Singh (Australia's NBL).Leveraging Ekalavyas' organic grassroots/national/international reach and goodwill, Pursuit was the maiden attempt in India towards professional athlete management in basketball. During my time as part of Pursuit's core founding team, I formulated the company's overall business verticals, undertook key client prospecting, explored marketing partnerships, handled the PR/branding of the players and also the company's HR hires.The latter stages of my time at Pursuit included initiating the conversations that eventually led to: 1) the historic visit of Streetball legend Grayson 'Professor' Boucher to India; 2) Pursuit's tie-up as the operations partner for India's maiden leg of 'Red Bull Reign', a large scale 3x3 tournament, across various city legs culminating in a National Finals held in Mumbai.

• Was privileged to be part of the founding editorial team of Trade, Law and Development (TL&D), a biannual, student-run, academic journal published by National Law University, Jodhpur, India. • TL&D has been ranked as the best law journal in India (2012, 2011) and the tenth best law journal in the field of international trade worldwide (2012) by the Washington and Lee University Law Library in its annual rankings of law journals. Since its establishment in 2009, the Journal's efforts have been recognized by the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes and the World Trade Organization.

PlayRight was a full service Public Relations and Communications firm solely dedicated to the sports vertical, and one of the first of its kind in the country. My tasks ranged from PR and branding work for PlayRight, legal editing work for the Law Offices of Nandan Kamath, as well as initiation of new athletes to the GoSports Foundation.
