The EEB tackles Europe’s most pressing environmental problems such as climate change, biodiversity, emissions to air, water, soil, chemical pollution, as well as policies on industry, energy, agriculture, circular economy, product design and waste prevention. Primarily EEB’s work focus on the EU and its decision-making processes, including wider regional and global processes, at the level of the UN and the OECD, in particular on the Global Agenda for Sustainable Development.It is European umbrella organization that covers such a large number of environmental policy issues and is at the same time open to membership for all bona fide NGOs active in the field of the environment.The EEB work is divided in number of division/groups including: Mercury, Chemicals, Agriculture, Climate change, Industrial Production etc. The main purpose of the groups is to follow the implementation of EU environmental legislative for particular target group, actively participating during decision-making processes for updating of EU Directives improving the environmental quality level.
