About Gordon Bennett

I joined the Canadian Forces in 1990 and spent the first seven years of my career in the Armoured Corps as a RECCE Crewman. In 1997 I transferred to the Air Force to become an Aircraft Structural Technician (ACS Tech), gaining valuable experience on the C130 E, H, and J Models, as well as Griffon and Chinook helicopters. Technical skills include sheet metal fabrication, special metals welding, refinishing, machining, composites, industrial sewing, Aviation Life Support Equipment (ALSE), and first-line aviation servicing. I ended my military career in 2018 as a Unit General Safety Officer (UGSO) as well as my Squadron’s Technical Services Coordinator.
