As Project Manager for C Spencer Ltd I am responsible for the planning, management and delivery of both civil and rail interface elements which extend over 1.5 km through an operation port, from a docking wharf through to a rail offload facility, to enable bulk fuel biomass material to be conveyor transported to three storage silos. Distribution thereafter to an automated rail load out facility for transport to the power station at Lynemouth. Major PCC driven piling operations, traditional FRC and slip-forming methods have been carried out, with the challenges of interface working adjacent to tenants has been a major achievement with very little impact to port operations. I have extensive experience acting in both managerial and technical roles of complex rail, civil and building projects. My experience extends to off-site monitoring control & inspection, having visited manufacturing plants throughout Europe on behalf of Clients including United Utilities and Northumbrian Water. Have been involved in the rail sector for over 13 years planning and managing multi-disciplinary engineering projects, delivering station improvements, enhanced spend bridge refurbishments, bridge re-construction and new permanent way infrastructure schemes. I have fostered and maintained an excellent relationship with Network Rail and various Train Operating Companies over this period working in time sensitive environments under possession conditions where critical work activities had to be carried out with regard to heavy crane bridge lifts and bridge removal works whilst maintaining continued station and infrastructure performance without disruption to NwR and the train operating company’s business requirements.
