Gordon is the Operations Client Contractor Manager at Places for People, one of the UK's largest property management and development companies which manages in excess of 80,000 homes across the UK. He is responsible for delivering an integrated approach to the management of the Operations Client functions relating to asset maintenance and repairs, commissioning of major property improvements and landscape maintenance services. With the aim of ensuring the long term sustainability of the Group's existing neighborhoods, Gordon is responsible for monitoring and reviewing the contractors and consultancies responsible for the delivery of planned, cyclical and responsive maintenance programmes with a total budgetary value of almost £70m per annum.

Gordon was responsible for leading the implementation of the “Green Spaces for People” Portfolio. The Portfolio invested almost £20 million in the creation of over 80 high quality green spaces incorporating play and youth facilities, community parks and gardens, improved wildlife habitats and community food growing initiatives. This innovative and award winning Portfolio was delivered in partnership with national housing providers including The Riverside Group and Peabody. The Portfolio is one of the largest housing sector led green space improvement programmes that have taken place recently.
