A sports professional with over 15 years experience, spanning grass roots sports development, workforce development and most recently high performance athlete development. Having worked with and for clubs and their coaching staff, as well as local authorities and national governing bodies, I am passionate about the development of people and opportunities, through sport.I currently lead on the development and implementation of performance pathway programmes for Cricket Scotland, identifying talented young male and female cricketers and creating opportunities for them to fulfil their potential and compete at the highest level. I coach the U17 and U19 national men's sides and perform assistant duties with the senior men's national team, with the primary objective of successfully transitioning players from performance into high performance cricket. As an ex-captain of the Scottish national cricket team myself, my motivations come from a desire to support and develop others to obtain the same opportunities and experiences afforded to me through my own sporting career.
