Gordon is an architect on the design panel of Architecture + Design Scotland, the Scottish Government's design review body. We carry out reviews and offer advice on the major contruction projects proposed for Scotland on behalf of the Government.

I am a third year studio tutor in the Architecture department teaching housing design in studio tutorials. I also deliver lectures on detail design and construction

I am one of three directors at ARPL Architects. I have been responsible for the design of many of our key buildings including the Theatre Royal, Dumfries, the Lochside regeneration project in Ayr, Ballymun Regeneration in Dublin and the St. Magnus Centre in Orkney. I was also the designer of our winning entry in an open international competition for a secondary school in Dublin. I specialise in low energy design and I am a passive house accredited architect.Alongside working at ARPL I am a member of the Architecture + Design Scotland Design Review Panel and teach at Strathclyde University Architecture Department

I was an associate at MacCormac Jamieson Prichard working on key cultural buildings including the Millenium Theatre and library in Durham, The Wolfson building for the Science Museum in London, the Paternoster square offices for Mitsibushi at St. Pauls Cathedral in London, Cable and Wireless Conference Centre in Richmond and Queen Mary and Westfield College in East London.
