    – Designed a servo-controlled hydraulic actuator for steering control of a human-rated launch vehicle. This is the highest powered actuator designed in this business group, which required new designs and analyses from the heritage actuators it was based on. Designed, analyzed, and created drawings for 57 new parts and assemblies. Sized actuator for stress, stiffness, buckling, and fatigue.– Designed adapters and modifications for existing actuators and electrically-powered hydraulic pumps to use them for a new customer in a new space vehicle. Analyzed hardware for new customer’s requirements including different external loads and higher vibration levels.– Performed initial and final FEA stress analysis of all major components and assemblies of a Thrust Vector Control (TVC) actuator. Designed fixes for issues that were found in initial analyses. Wrote final stress report. Report was approved by customer’s stress group with minimal comments.
