Northern Illinois Food Bank is a nonprofit organization with the goal of solving hunger in a 13-county service area in northern Illinois. The organization relies on community partners – the local food pantries and feeding programs, food manufacturers and retailers, companies, foundations, and volunteers to join the vision for no one to be hungry in northern Illinois. As Vice President of Operations, my responsibilities and contributions included:• Oversaw organization's warehouse, transportation, and food processing operations• Supervised a transportation and operations staff of 41 people• Increased food distribution from 35,000,000 to 68,000,000 pounds of food in a span of 4 years• Transitioned staff into a brand new 150,000 square foot facility, and negotiated leases for 2 new branches
