• Responsible for daily operations of Supramax and Handysize bulk carriers. Regular duties include drafting voyage instructions, planning and executing bunker purchases, monitoring speed and consumptions, generating and following up on hire statements, maintaining voyage records and reporting vessel earnings to management team, liaising with Risk Department to address claims, approving laytime calculations and negotiating laytime settlements.• Key member of team managing the ongoing development and testing of the new web-based voyage management system (eFleetwatch) commissioned by Guardian Navigation.• Designated super-user for eFleetwatch, responsible for administering tutorials, resolving users’ problems/questions and presenting suggestions for improvements to the development team.• Participated in Business Process Mapping project to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies in workflows of various departments resulting in significant improvements to the company’s processes.
