In my new role as an IT Sales and Support Consultant I look forward to partnering with new and existing clients of GBS Technologies to help them make sure their technology is working for them. Using tools like TELUS Business Connect and Office 365 to ensure that communications are efficient is a great way to make sure everyone is productive and help drive profits!

My work as the Inventory and Information Systems Manager at GBS has been the most rewarding and challenging of my years with the team. The daily work towards striking the balance between stock needs in the up to 23 locations and needing to ensure stock is not aging outside the finance guidelines has provided me with many challenges.Other parts of the job over the past 5 years in this position have included introducing 2 different POS systems, including testing and staff training, working with new vendors to introduce product line and coordinating the IT needs of the locations and staff to ensure their equipment is working to fill their needs to allow them to focus on selling and customer service.

As a District Operations Manager with GBS I was directly responsible for leadership of five locations (two in Charlottetown PEI, one in Summerside PEI, one in Moncton NB and one in Amherst NS). My staff level peeked at 25 Sales Representatives between the five locations. I was responsible to ensure they met company standards for sales process, customer service and product knowledge. Working with Store Supervisors and Assistant Store Managers, we made sure the stores were ready to fill client needs.

My career with GBS started in 2003 as a Retail Sales Representative. Responsible for Inside sales and support for retail and business clients in our Charlottetown location, this was my first step into the mobile field. From initial greeting to contract signing and after sales support we were there to support our clients for their entire tenure as TELUS Clients.

Capitol Business Systems was my first sales and service position in the IT world. With a client base of consumer and corporate clients, I quickly learned the ins and outs of everything from basic desktop computers to high end printers and servers. During my time at Capitol I also worked part time in the service area assisting with the repair and maintenance of client’s systems.
