Analytical Chemist
CurrentPerformed raw material analysis and release testing utilizing USP, EP, JP, BP, ACS, FCC and other related methodologies.Performed established quality control test methods in a cGMP environment such as:Titrations – Performed assays by Acid-Base, Complexometric, Redox, back titrations, and Potentiometric titrations using an automatic titrator.Viscosity – Analyzed samples using Ubbelodhe, Cannon-Fenske, and rotational viscometersKarl Fischer – Used a volumetric, direct-inject coloumetric, and a coulometric oven to determine water content in various samples.IR – Read samples that were pressed into pellets using Potassium Bromide, liquid samples that were placed between sodium chloride plates, and used an Attenuated total reflection to obtain spectra of samples.Other Spectroscopy methods UV-Vis, Optical Rotation, and Refractive Index. Heavy Metals - Tested samples for metal impurities against a standard with a known amount of metal. Various digestion procedures were used during the analysis such as sulfuric acid, peroxide, and hydrofluoric acid.General laboratory techniques – TLC, Melting point, Gravimetric, pH, and Wet chemistry.Engaged in technical writing, including documentation of testing and other activities in proper logbooks and spreadsheets as needed with strict adherence to QCL’s SOP’s and regulatory standards.Integral part in failure analysis and problem solving. Investigated aberrant data with laboratory management. Performed retest to confirm the out of specification result or root cause of the failure.Maintained strict client confidentiality and adherence to safety standards as required by SOP’s.Worked on multiple projects simultaneously in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.Performed other related duties as required.
