From age 3, as a singer in his Church's children's choir, performing quickly developed into a passion and profession: attending New York City’s Music & Arts High School where he was noted as an exceptional talent to earning a scholarship from the renowned Boston Conservatory of Music, where he obtained a BFA in Musical Theater.At ease singing show tunes, jazz, blues, pop and gospel; Michaels is a gregarious, southern gentleman at heart, a true entertainer who’ll leave you wanting more.Performed all over the U.S. and Europe with and for such people as: Patti Labelle, Jennifer Holiday, James Taylor, Aerosmith, Rod Stewart, Cissy Houston, Keith Lockhart, Tramaine & Edward Hawkins and Natalie Cole. Also for Pope John Paul II as guest soloist with the Harlem Gospel Choir. Performed with Hit Man David Foster in Boston while on his tour "David Foster & Friends 2009" along with Deborah Cox, Philip Bailey, Peter Cetera, Charice, Michael Johns, Ruben Studdard and the Canadian Tenors and the winner of the Boston finals for the David Foster/NameDrop.com singing contest. Also one of the 10 for the finals in Vancouver, Canada. Guest soloist with the Harlem Gospel Choir in Italy where he sang for Pope John Paul II at his Christmas and Holiday TV special.Was the featured lead vocalist with the very popular Boston based band Bellevue Cadillac. Always seeking new projects and adventures in music. Available for wedding, parties, corporate events and teaches master classes in performance for singers.
