Proud to be the Chief Executive of a top 50 Council, appointed to the role in July 2024. Formerly Fife Council’s Head of Business and Employability responsible for Employability, Economic Development, economic policy, town centres and tourism. Before joining Fife, I held a leadership role at Ipswich Borough Council as Head of Culture and Environment Services, managing a range of frontline operational and income generating services. I previously worked as Crossrail's Employment and Brokerage Manager and have managed Building London Creating Futures, a London construction employment and training scheme, concentrating on corporate social responsibility on major strategic sites, including Canada Water, Elephant & Castle and Heathrow Terminal 5. Previously, I worked as the Central London Employment and Enterprise Renewal Programme Manager for Cross River Partnership, and was previously involved with the development and construction of central London’s Golden Jubilee footbridges and a number of new business spaces. Before joining CRP in 2001,I held positions with the Scottish Executive, Suffolk Health Authority and Suffolk College. I hold a Masters degree in Development Planning from University College London and a Masters degree in Religious Studies from the University of Edinburgh, where I specialised in business ethics.
