About Gordon Murray
I am a registered professional forester and chartered professional accountant who has worked in the forest and bio-energy industries for 35 years. I began my career working in the woods, eventually becoming a woodlands manager for a lumber manufacturer from 1987 to 1992. From 1992 to 2002 I owned and operated a forestry services company and was part-owner of an independent sawmill. Since 2003 I have managed an accounting practice specializing in forest industry mergers and acquisitions, capital raising, and management accounting. In 2008 I began providing financial support to the Wood Pellet Association of Canada, and in 2009 became its executive director. I am deeply passionate about the wood pellet industry and bio-energy.
