Quinton Insurance was founded by Gordon Quinton, an ex-tennis professional who had to retire early due to a career-ending knee injury. I found my way to the insurance industry like most – by accident.I remember my first day like it was yesterday. I rented this tiny 100 square foot office and these huge filing cabinets and I remember asking myself, “How am I ever going to find enough clients to fill these things?” When I started there was no Facebook, Twitter or Instagram. There was just the old-fashioned phone book. I would wake up every morning; open the phone book and start calling business owners for eight hours a day asking them if I could save them money on their business insurance. At night, I would go home and have dinner with my family and then I would start again, this time calling homeowners to ask them if they wanted a quote on their car and home insurance. I did this religiously for the first three years.
