The thesis examined women’s support for crusade, and the gendered-ideals within the culture of the movement. The thesis is entitled: Elite Laywomen and the Ideals of Crusade Support in England, c.1187-1291.The thesis is embargoed, pending publication, until Dec 2026 - when it will become available online from the University of Edinburgh’s research repository. -
