An Atlanta native, Dr. Robbins graduated magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Georgia, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in biology and psychology. He received his medical degree from Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, where he also completed his residency in internal medicine. Dr. Robbins completed both a fellowship in gastroenterology and hepatology and an advanced fellowship in therapeutic endoscopy at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore.During medical school, Dr. Robbins served as a graduate teacher and curriculum coordinator for the Emory University Pipeline Program and received the Creativity & Arts Graduate Student Award. During his residency, he worked to increase colorectal cancer screening rates in underserved populations and graduated with a Distinction in Quality Improvement.Throughout his medical education, Dr. Robbins has conducted seminars and workshops and served as a reviewer for the ACG Case Reports Journal. He has made numerous presentations at regional and national conferences and has been widely published in peer-reviewed journals, including Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, the Journal of Gastrointestinal and Abdominal Radiology, and VideoGIE. He has contributed to book chapters in Sleisenger & Fordtran’s Gastrointestinal and Liver Disease Review and Assessment, 11th edition. Additionally, he was selected to serve on committees for the American College of Gastroenterology (ACG) and the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE).In addition to general gastroenterology, Dr. Robbins has a special interest in the diagnosis and treatment of pancreaticobiliary diseases such as acute and chronic pancreatitis, pancreatic cysts, and inflammatory pancreatic fluid collections, pancreatic and bile duct cancers, and bile duct stones. He is specially trained in advanced therapeutic procedures, such as endoscopic ultrasound (EUS), ERCP, complex polyp resection, and enteral stent placement.He joined Atlanta Gastroenterology Associates in 2023
