A 17 week long full stack web development course, aimed at students looking to transition into software development. • Working on Scottish Water’s Urban Flooding Framework. Responsible for confirmation of flooding, investigating mechanism, developing and designing potential solutions.• Hydraulic modelling tasks included: review of historical data, model suitability assessments, survey scopes (using MapInfo GIS), updating models, verification, and optioneering. Key task was data analysis of simulations, primarily using Excel. Tasks required extensive use and knowledge of InfoWorks CS and ICM.• Civil engineering tasks included: outline design of sewer infrastructure to relevant specifications, costing, designer risk assessments, and technical drawings in AutoCAD.• Other tasks included: writing technical notes/reports, presentations to clients, and assisting project managers with project schedules and compensation events.• I have completed Atkins 3 year graduate scheme which focused on professional soft skills.• To aid in sharing knowledge and identify areas for improvement I set up and chaired weeklylessons learned meeting between teammates.

Seasonal work at a very popular Apres Ski bar in the Austrian Alps. Duties included restocking the bars with glasses and drinks, clear glasses, and thorough cleaning after closing. Required to work at a high tempo to keep up with demand at the bars. Great experience working in a very diverse team with many different nationalities and experiences.

Advising on behalf of Student Finance England; which required a deep understanding of: the support offered; criteria which needed to be met; acceptable information; and evidence, that is required for the student to apply for and receive this support. I was required to quickly identify the situation and progress of the students application then advise on the correct course of action that will allow them to receive the funding they are entitled to. Excellent customer service was required; due to the funding being the only source of support for many students at university callers could be quite upset which required great conflict resolution skills from myself.

A large chain of pub/restaurants in the UK; with high standards of service and cleanliness. Duties include serving the wide range of drinks, waiting on tables, stocking fridges, cleaning glasses, and thoroughly cleaning the bar including the equipment.. The main challenge was to maintain the high standards of cleanliness and service during the very busy Saturday night shifts

A charity camp that provides an outdoor experience for children, the majority coming from deprived areas in the east coast of America. The children and group leaders stay in teepees in a forest which is secluded from the main camp village; this can be difficult for the children who mainly resided in highly urban areas of New York City. I was ultimately responsible the safety and well being of a group of 10 12-14 year old children, 24/7, for two week blocks. My main duties included: planning the children’s daily activities to strike a balance between the differing tastes of the group (and quickly reschedule due to unforeseen circumstances); teaching the children to be responsible and polite; and preparing and leading the children on a 2-4 day expedition located off the camp premises.

My duties were split between: the restaurant where I would wait on tables and working closely with the chefs and other waiters to provide a great service and atmosphere; and the pub where I would be serving drinks, changing kegs, stocking the fridges, and stocking the cellar during deliveries. The main challenge was to quickly adapt to sudden changes, with the bar and restaurant needing to be maintained simultaneously
